Over the weekend, Reps Ahead hosted its fifth professional competition, aptly named “Pro 5.” This event broke away from traditional formats, featuring a four-athlete, single-elimination style tournament. The excitement kicked off on Saturday, where four men and four women stepped onto the floor for the Semifinals, setting the stage for an intense showdown. The final matchups on Saturday were as follows:
- Tudor Magda vs Cole Greashaber
- James Sprague vs Malachi Bennett
- Trista Smith vs Zoe Warren
- Arielle Loewen vs Rachel Noel
Saturday’s Victors
Despite some last-minute changes to the lineup, Cole Greashaber and James Sprague emerged victorious in their respective matches on the men’s side. Meanwhile, on the women’s side, Trista Smith and Arielle Loewen secured their spots in the final.
Sunday Showdowns
As the competition heated up, Sunday featured the championship matches, starting with the 3rd place bouts for Saturday’s losers. On the women’s side, Rachel Noel faced Kelly Stone, who stepped in for Zoe Warren. In a display of resilience, Noel claimed victory and earned the third-place spot. On the men’s side, Tudor Magda squared off against Malachi Bennett, securing a win by a margin of 14 reps.
Championship Finals
The finals were nothing short of thrilling. James Sprague unleashed a stellar performance in Round 2 against Cole Greashaber to clinch the title. On the women’s side, Arielle Loewen and Trista Smith battled fiercely through Round 2, but Loewen’s strategy paid off as she surged ahead in Round 3 to secure her victory.
Prize Distribution
Both champions, Sprague and Loewen, walked away with a prize of $7,000 each for their outstanding performances. Greashaber and Smith, finishing in second place, received $2,000, while Noel and Magda took home $1,000 for securing the third position in their respective categories.
