ESPN has announced that they will once again broadcast the 2024 CrossFit Games across their platforms for the second consecutive year. The joint announcement by CrossFit and ESPN revealed that the Games will be available for viewing on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN+ throughout the entire four-day competition.
Exclusive Coverage Details
The coverage of the competition will vary across the different ESPN platforms. ESPN+ will provide viewers with access to every heat of each day’s competition. Meanwhile, ESPN and ESPN2 will focus on broadcasting the top heats over the course of all four days, supplemented by highlights of outstanding performances. For those interested, live coverage will also be available on the CrossFit Games YouTube channel, Facebook, and Twitch (excluding the exclusive two-hour windows detailed below).
Exclusive Coverage Windows
During the event, ESPN platforms in the United States will offer exclusive coverage for a two-hour block each day. U.S. viewers can only watch this specific time frame through an ESPN platform.
- Thursday, Aug. 8: 7-9 p.m. on ESPN2 & ESPN+
- Friday, Aug. 9: 9-11 p.m. on ESPN2 & ESPN+
- Saturday, Aug. 10: 2-4 p.m. on ESPN2 & ESPN+
- Sunday, Aug. 11: 4-6 p.m. on ESPN & ESPN+
Viewers outside the U.S. will be able to watch the competition on the normal channels (YouTube, Facebook, Twitch) during these exclusive windows. Additionally, U.S. fans can catch the replay on YouTube 12 hours after the initial broadcast.
2024 CrossFit Games Schedule
While the complete schedule for the 2024 CrossFit Games has not been released, the exclusive coverage windows hint at the timing of events. For instance, Friday Night Lights at Farrington Field is set to kick off at 8:00 p.m. local time (9:00 p.m. Eastern). Given ESPN’s two-hour exclusivity, the competition will unfold during that period. On Sunday, the final events for individuals and teams are likely to occur within the exclusive window.
