The top 30 teams from various regions now have their sights set on competing in the Semifinals next month.
Disqualifications and Eligibility Issues
While the global leaderboard saw minimal changes at the top, there were notable disqualifications due to teams failing to meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the 2024 CrossFit Games rulebook. Many teams were disqualified for having an athlete conduct an Open workout at a location not affiliated with the team’s registered CrossFit affiliate. Among the disqualified teams were CrossFit Kilo II and CrossFit CLT The Grit Haus, both previous participants in the CrossFit Games.
Semifinals Qualification and CrossFit Games Prospects
The top 30 teams advancing to the Semifinals will compete for the opportunity to qualify for the 2024 CrossFit Games, which will take place in Fort Worth, Texas. Each Semifinal will offer a varying number of qualifying spots to the CrossFit Games:
– North America East: 8 spots
– North America West: 7 spots
– Europe: 8 spots
– Oceania: 3 spots
– South America: 2 spots
– Asia: 1 spot
– Africa: 1 spot
