2025 TYR Wodapalooza Miami Beach: Six Workouts for All Divisions Under Unique Sand Competition Conditions

Event Overview

The highly anticipated 2025 TYR Wodapalooza in Miami Beach is just around the corner, less than three weeks away. Athletes participating in this prestigious competition have received the Official Athlete Handbook, which outlines key details about the event, including the structure of the workouts they will face.

Workouts for All Divisions

This year, all divisions, from elite individuals to teams and adaptive athletes, will tackle a total of six (6) workouts. This format mirrors last year’s event, though some divisions had a few more workouts to complete. Regardless, the core structure remains consistent.

Unique Competition Floor

A standout feature of the 2025 edition will be the competition floor, which will be situated on the sandy surfaces of the venue, similar to what was experienced during the TYR Wodapalooza SoCal. Each division will experience the challenge of sand:

  • All individual divisions will compete in three workouts on sand.
  • Teams will have two sand workouts.
  • Adaptive divisions will not face any workouts on sand.

It is important to note that athletes will be required to wear shoes for all workouts, including those held on sandy surfaces.

No Swimming This Year

In a notable change from previous years, there will not be any swimming events at the 2025 TYR Wodapalooza Miami Beach, aligning with the format seen at TYR Wodapalooza SoCal.

Event Schedule and Workout Releases

The competition will take place over four days, from Thursday to Sunday, running approximately from 8:00 AM EST to 6:30 PM EST. A detailed schedule, including the exact timing of heats and events, will be available soon through Competition Corner.

As for the workouts, athletes can expect the majority of them to be unveiled on the @wodapalooza social media channels and the official website shortly. Everyone is eagerly awaiting updates, hoping to avoid any surprises like pushing a D-Ball across the sand!

Closing Ceremony

The elite teams, community divisions, and the gauntlet podium ceremony are set to take place at The Clevelander South Beach Hotel Pool Deck following the final event on Sunday night. It remains to be seen if this area will be accessible to the public.
