Early Life and Background of Citra Ramaniya
Citra Ramaniya, a trailblazer in the CrossFit community, was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. She embarked on her athletic journey as a professional swimmer for the Apnea Diving Club, distinguishing herself as Indonesia’s top fin swimmer from 2006 to 2008. Ramaniya’s passion for sports and her pursuit of higher education led her to Germany, where she continued her studies in science and information technology at the Kiel University of Applied Sciences, having already earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Universitas Bina Nusantara in Jakarta.
Citra Ramaniya’s CrossFit Journey
Ramaniya’s introduction to CrossFit was serendipitous. After retiring from professional swimming and experiencing a sedentary lifestyle, she was on the lookout for ways to get back to an active lifestyle. This search led her to discover CrossFit in 2016 at CrossFit Limburg, located in Germany. Despite the initial challenges, she embraced the rigorous training, marking the start of her remarkable journey in CrossFit.
Competitive Achievements of Citra Ramaniya
Ramaniya’s commitment and dedication to CrossFit quickly translated into competitive success. She became Indonesia’s first female representative at the CrossFit Games, making her debut in 2019. Competing for Indonesia, Ramaniya showcased her incredible talent and hard work by finishing 86th in the Women’s division at the Games, a testament to her prowess and dedication to the sport.
Personal Life of Citra Ramaniya
Aside from her athletic achievements, Ramaniya leads a balanced life as a software developer in Germany. She is known for her disciplined training regimen, training two to three hours, five days a week, with an active rest day. Ramaniya focuses on a healthy diet, avoiding processed foods and sugars, and emphasizes the importance of routine in her life. Her journey from a professional swimmer to a CrossFit athlete exemplifies her resilience, adaptability, and unwavering commitment to excellence in everything she undertakes.
