Born and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, Brent Fikowski has been a competitive spirit from a young age. He began swimming competitively at the age of 6, continuing until he was 18, and even broke the provincial record for the 100 meter breaststroke in 2008 – a record that stands to this day. Fikowski also shone in volleyball during his high school years, leading his team to a memorable undefeated season and a provincial championship.
